I’ve known this family for a couple of years now and this is our third year to do Christmas pictures. Big sister knows me and is used to me and my camera, but little brother…not so much! It’s hard to remember much at this age. He was a doll then and is just as adorable now!
I think he must’ve seen Santa!

Little brother, a little tired, showed me he didn’t like it when momma took his cookie! =) I just love this photo! It’s quite possibly one of my most favorites. EVER!

Last year’s designer Christmas cards personalized with a photo from The Cardinal Rule Photography were a huge hit, so I spent a great deal of time over the last 8 months choosing new ones for this year. There’s still time

If you are interested in booking a session for Christmas, you still have time. The cutoff date for clients wanting prints/cards back in time for Christmas is November 15th, but I still have spaces open. Most of the open dates for Christmas sessions are weekdays, however there is still a Saturday date open (Nov 8).
Several folks I’ve spoken with have asked if they needed to have their Christmas tree up, or if they needed to dress “Christmas-y”. The answer to that is no. Let your Christmas card represent the Christmas part.

I hung out with A and her mom yesterday afternoon taking photographs for their Christmas session. A really is SO easy to photograph. She loves having her picture taken and is so cooperative.

I went to college with the mom’s of these three girls. The youngest was a little ham during their session, the middle one was quiet and unassuming, the oldest was really more interested in playing with my son (they’re less than two weeks apart in age and are really great friends).

I truly intended on having the additional card options uploaded here to the blog before now, but after returning from my grandfather’s bypass surgery (which was successful!) Hurricane Ike decided to make his way up here and we had no power until today. That wasn’t fun but we were blessed by God that power was the only thing we lost and that we had somewhere to go for the time being.
All that said, those new card options are up now! Here ya go!

I posted more Christmas Card options on the main website this morning and they’re fabulous! I’ll try to get them posted here on the blog tonight. However, my 89 year-old grandfather is having triple bypass surgery tomorrow so I’ll be heading out of town for that this evening so I may not get them posted here on the blog for a few more days.
Some of you may be wondering why I’m only accepting one session per week right now. Well, that is because my business has been pretty slow up until now and I don’t want to over-commit myself and then not give your session the amount of time from me that it deserves. Meaning: prepping for the session, the session itself, the post-processing of all of your images after the session, ordering proofs, your in-person proofing session, etc. I may change my mind mid-stream over the next month and add one more session per week, but for now I’m leaving it at one. That being said, what are you waiting for?! Call or email me today and set up your session date. There’s no need to wait until the end of October or mid-November to shoot your Christmas photos. Do it now before the rush of Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas take over your life!
